Sheida Mohamadi is a Poet, writer, Scholar, and Journalist. She graduated with a Master of Science in Communication at Purdue University. Also, Sheida graduated in Persian Language and Literature at the University of Tehran. Sheida is the first Poet in Residence at the Jordan Center for Persian Studies at the University of California, Irvine for 2015-2017. Also, she was a Poet in Residence at the University of Maryland in 2010. Sheida has been a member of Pen Center USA since 2010. She published six books and one audiobook. Her Poems have been translated into different languages, including English, French, Arabic, Czech, German, Turkish, Kurdish, and Swedish. She also edited and wrote for the women’s page (Safheh-ye Zanan) of the Iran newspaper in 2002-2003 and at Farhangestan-e Honar Monthly Review in 2003, both in Tehran, Iran.
