Iranian Poetry in Translation of the Woman Life Freedom Movement

had the honor of being part of the poetry readings at an event organized by the PEN of the USA, dedicated to Iranian Poetry in Translation, with a thematic focus on Women, Life, and Freedom. Stepping up to the podium, I shared the words of my poems that encapsulated the essence of these themes, allowing voices to resonate through the room. Among the pieces I presented was a heartfelt poem by Baktash Abtin, skillfully translated by Mojdeh Bahar, serving as a poignant tribute to his life and legacy. It was a deeply moving experience to connect with the audience through the power of poetry, bridging cultures and emotions. Special thanks to Tanaz for her adept photography, capturing the essence of this profound moment.
